I've tried this with Terminal: I've thought maybe it's something to do with permissions somewhere, a Little Snitch setting, or maybe a weird emoji in some file in icloud that's compatible with Mac, but not ios. I've logged out of icloud on the Mac, deselected desktop/documents app sync reselected it. I've been going at this for DAYS trying all kinds of files and it's driving me nuts. Then I go back to my Mac and copy (from desktop) to that icloud folder and it won't show up on ipad - files app icloud - in the folder I created. In the video, you can see the folder instantly shows up on ipad - files app - icloud. So essentially, folders will sync and files won't. Yet, when I go back to my Mac and put *any file* into that folder it won't show up as available on any ios device - Files app - Icloud. The weird thing is, I can create a folder in Finder - icloud and that folder will instantly propagate to my Ipad's files app - icloud folder. Somehow I can't get Finder files to sync from Mac Mojave to icloud.
